July 12th

Not much to report. My father had a quiet, uneventful day. His ICP was higher and he wasn't as active, although, he seems to be resting so peacefully and I even heard him snoring at some point. I'm telling myself he's tired out from yesterday and he needed the rest. Plus, it's Sunday--- a day of rest. 1 step forward and 2 steps back. I feel like tomorrow he will take a step forward again.

Tomorrow, we plan on being at the hospital, in his room, at 8:30 a.m. Neurosurgeons BEWARE! You'll not get by me w/out answering a laundry list of questions I have compiled for you. It's time for some answers.

More then.............

  1. (((Hugs))) for you, Lisa. Pass them on to your Mom and Dad. I pray for strength and clarity and terrific opportunity tomorrow morning when you go talk to the neurosurgeons. :)

When my daughter, Stephanie, was in the hospital for 9 days I had to learn to get a little pushy...or, better yet...to be the squeaky wheel so I got the grease! :)

  2. Hi Sherry/Lisa,
Thanks for keeping us up to date on the progress your dad is making. The bible tells us Jesus is our great physician and with so many of us praying for your dad, we know Jesus is in the midst. I'm glad to know Kraig is resting peacefully. We pray for great news from the Neurosurgeon tomorrow and look forward to your updates.
    Take care
    In Christ!

  6. What a beautiful picture of your dad and the grandkids!! LOL I LOVE the candles! We usually put the correct amount of them on the cake and then stand back and hysterically laugh watching the birthday person trying to blow them out! My mom used to say we needed the fire department on call just in case :) Sometimes during recovery we hit plateaus and sometimes a step back but, the body is working so hard that we need to allow that for a tiny bit of time. I am hoping that he makes a step forward today as well...maybe more if God allows.

It's so hard to talk with and get answers from doctors sometimes. I'm glad you were there this morning and I hope you got the answers you all seek and SHOULD be given. My prayers are still being said and sent. My love as well.

  7. I understand what you are going through. When you pray ....Your will be done, and lay it at the feet of Jesus you will receive such peace. If God has more for Kraig to do He will see that Kraig is given what ever he need to do so. If He wants His child to come home and be with Dad and his brother Jesus ....His will be done.
    Love you.
